This disassembly guide explains how to remove the top cover assembly on a Toshiba Satellite M115 laptop.

It is necessary to remove the top cover if you need to replace the laptop touch pad, witch is attached to the top cover, or replace the motherboard.
Steps 1-2 shows how you can access laptop memory, hard drive, wireless card and modem.
Steps 5 explains how to remove the DVD drive.
Steps 7-10 will be useful for removing and replacing the keyboard.

The motherboard removal instructions will be very similar to instructions for a Toshiba Satellite M105.

How to disassemble a Toshiba Satellite M45 laptop

Following these instructions you can disassemble a Toshiba Satellite M45 laptop.

Some main components can be accessed and removed from the bottom of the laptop.
1. You can easily access the CPU with the heatsink through the door on the bottom of the laptop, as it shown on the steps 4 and 5.
2. Memory, wireless card and DVD drive also can be removed without taking the whole thing apart. In order to remove the DVD drive, follow steps 6-7.
3. If you are replacing the keyboard, you don’t have to remove any screws from the bottom, simply follow steps 9-12.

If you want to replace the cooling fan, then you’ll have to remove the top cover and the motherboard, there is no easy access to the cooling fan.

These instructions will help you to replace the LCD screen and the screen inverter on a Toshiba Satellite P205 series laptops.

Removing the display bezel can be a little bit tricky on this model because of its shape. Start removing the bezel from the top. After all latches on the top and both sides of the bezel had been disengaged, you can move to the bottom part of the bezel as it shown on the picture 5. Take your time. This is one of them most difficult display bezels to remove. When you install the bezel back on the display panel, pay attention to wireless antenna cables running on both sides of the screen. Do not pinch cables. Removing and installing the bezel is the hardest part in this disassembly.
Removing and replacing the LCD screen and the screen inverter will not be much different then replacing these parts on any other Toshiba laptop.

Very often I get the same question about connecting the wireless card antenna cables to the wireless card. Witch cable connects to witch connector on the card? There are two antenna cables connected to the card. The white cable goes the main connector and the black one to the auxiliary connector. But it should really matter because both antennas are identical.

Toshiba Satellite L25 laptop disassembly instructions should be similar to Satellite L20. At least on Google images for both models look very similar.

Taking apart Toshiba Satellite A65 display panel

These instructions will guide you through step-by-step Toshiba Satellite A65 display panel disassembly. You can use this guide for removing screen bezel, inverter board and removing or replacing the LCD screen.
Instructions for removing and replacing the motherboard and other internal parts was published in a separate guide.

Most common problems with Satellite A60 and A65 laptops:
1. Heatsink gets clogged with dust and laptop overheats.
2. Power jack not making good conenction with the motherboard and laptop has intermittent (or permanent) power and battery charging issues.
3. Onboard memory fails. You start getting weird video issues or laptop will not start at all.

Opening a Toshiba Satellite P205 laptop and removing the motherboard

These instructions explain how to open a Toshiba Satellite P205 laptop case and remove the motherboard.
Removing the speaker cover could be tricky. In order to separate the speaker cover from the top cover you’ll have to use a guitar pick (or something similar).
ATTENTION: The same heatsink covers two chips - the northbridge and the processor. You cannot use regular thermal grease for the northbridge, you have to use special thermal grease. Here’s the part number for this grease: K000051370
For the processor you can use the following grease: X-23-7762-01

Taking apart Toshiba Satellite P100 and P105 notebooks

These guide will show how to take apart Toshiba Satellite P100 and P105 notebooks. This model is very similar to many other Toshiba models and shares the same disassembly steps.
In order to remove the DVD drive on this model you’ll have to get under the keyboard and remove one screw securing the drive. For the DVD drive removal follow steps 5,6,7,13. The screw witch secures the DVD drive is shown on the step 12.
If you are replacing the keyboard, it’s not necessary to remove all screws and parts from the bottom of the laptop. Just pop up the keyboard bezel, remove six keyboard screws, disconnect the keyboard from the motherboard and replace it. For the keyboard replacement follow steps 5,6,7.
This disassembly guide would be the same for a Toshiba Satellite P100 notebook, except that P100 has a discrete video card pictured on the step 21.
