Fortunately, in a Tecra A1 the cooling fan can be easily accessed from the door on the bottom of the laptop. Simply remove two screws securing the fan, unplug the fan cable from the motherboard and remove the fan.  When the fan is removed you can clean up the heat sink using compressed air. The fan removal instructions goes from step 1 to step 5.</p>
