Unlike any other Toshiba laptop, in this model you cannot remove anything from the bottom except the battery.

In order to remove or replace the hard drive from a Satellite E105, you’ll have to disassemble the whole laptop and remove the top cover assembly.

Both memory modules and DVD drive can be removed if you remove the keyboard first. The keyboard removal procedure is explained in steps 1-6. If you are using this guide for replacing or upgrading memory modules, do not disconnect the keyboard. Simply flip it over but keep connected to the motherboard.

If you accidentally break the keyboard cable connector on the motherboard, you’ll have to replace the whole motherboard so be very careful.
