It is very easy to take the laptop display assembly apart, but you have to be careful. Never use screwdrivers to separate the LCD mask from the screen top cover! To remove the LCD screen mask use your finger. Put your fingers between the LCD mask and the screen and start separating the mask from the LCD screen cover. Sometimes, when the mask plastic latches are tight, I use a guitar pick to disengage them. I put the guitar pick between the mask and the top cover and slowly move it along the side. The screen mask is made of very thin plastic and you can easily break it if you not careful. After the mask is removed, everything is straight forward. In this model the video cable is glued to the LCD screen so you have to use some force to separate it from the screen. When you unplug the inverter board cables do not pull the wires. Use the connector edges to unplug it.</p>
