Toshiba P205 Laptop.
No back light: desktop can be seen with flash light, External monitor shows everything working OK.

Replaced inverter no fixy.

Double checked all connections, no fix.
loptop was dropped lid corner damaged. screen appears OK. All wires appear OK.

Buy another inverter, buy new screen because light is BROKE??

Any ideas/help

I have Toshiba Satellite P205-S6267. Whenever I open the LCD screen pass 85 degree, it pixalite. When I pull LCD screen toward me. It works fine. What is the problem with this laptop? How do I fix it? Thanks.

my computer fell off the sofa about a month ago and I just replaced my LCD color screen with and new one from this site (www.nationalparts.com)could not of replaced it with out your instructions, it was fast and easy………………

I have the same problem as Johnnie above. I have a p205-S7806. The screen turns red and pixelates then turns dark after a while. Is it an inverter problem or a backlight problem? Hooking up to an external monitor shows the display is fine. Help and sugestions please? Thank You.

I have a p205-s8810. The black on my screen turns red
now and is pixelating some. im guessing the screen is
failing or the cable is lose

I have a p205, a friend bought it over he has not display but the external monitor works any Ideas?

When changing the exhaust fan I inadvently pulled out a black wire from a connector on my video card. This black wire and adjoining white wire go to my LCD display. They have a snap on end that snaps on to the video card. Where can I find those wires to replace the one I have. I have a Toshiba model A105-S101 laptop. And if you could give me a part number as there is none to be found on the wires.

Yes, you should be able to remove and replace the LCD screen without removing the inverter board. But you still have to disconnect the backlight connector from the right side of the inverter.

I just received a clients laptop about two weeks ago with this issue. A Satellite P205-S6347. He finally told me, on Friday last week, that his son was experiencing these issues all the way up until its failure. I’ve tested two seperate LCDs, one of which was new, and three separate inverters, two of which were new, to absolutely no effect. You can see the faint image of the windows desktop in the background but there’s no backlight. My last, final, attempt would be the LCD data cable. Anyhow, I was hoping that someone had some advice or perhaps success stories in relation to the data cable, before I tell my client to purchase one. Thanks in advance.
