Toshiba Satellite M65Here are two different disassembly guides for a Toshiba Satellite M65 series laptop.
The first guide will explain how you can take apart the display panel. You can use this guide for removing or replacing LCD screen, video cable or screen inverter.

    I have a Toshiba M60-183. It struggles to bootup after it has been off overnight. It can take up to 20 presses of the on/off switch before it boots up. After pressing the on/off switch it tries to boot i.e. the HD will spin, the USB mouse lights up for about 10secs then everything switches off and the on/off switch has to be pressed again. This will happen, sometimes up to 20 tries then it will boot and work normally until the next bootup.

    How do I get to the cmos battery and how far down do I have to take it appart …By the way your tutorial is excellent…

    There Is A Center Line (White Thin Line) in Vertical Direction I Do Not Know How to Remove It or Fix It
    So Please Can You Help Me to How to Fix This Problem.

    Is this 1-pixel line the only problem on the screen? If yes, there is a problem with the LCD screen itself. Unfortunately, you cannot fix this problem. You’ll have to use the laptop as is or replace the screen.

    You’ll have to remove the top cover. You can see the CMOS battery on the step 18 in the second guide. It’s located on the lower part of the motherboard, on the left side from the square Intel chip.
    Just in case. :) Removing the CMOS battery will not clear the BIOS password, don’t even try.

    I took apart my Satellite M65-S9093 to fix the PCMCIA slot and during disassembly, 2 black washers fell out after removing numerous 4mm and 6mm screws. Any idea where these go? For motherboard isolation?

    Any Idea why my wireless card, memory module and modem card cover sticks. It seems like I am going to break it if I pull on it harder.

    First make sure all screws are out and if they are try runing a sharp knife or somthing along the edge’s

    I have a toshiba M60 and when i turn off the computer and turn it on the screen does not come on but the computer boots up ok? it takes like 10 tries before the screen works. is this a screen problem? What does then inverter do?

    Any help would be appreciated
