Aloha. I just had a system32 error failure and had to restore after getting all my data of. I have the onboard memory and a stick of 1 GB Ram. It has been running for about 6 months and then crashed. Now it only shows 448 Ram even though msinfo32 shows 1.18 Ram. Does this mean a motherbpoard? does anyone have one and is it worth the time and effort?

Well i was just wondering where does the two cables black and white connect on the motherboard of toshiba satellite a65?

Jesus,
They connect to the wireless card. The white cable goes to the main connector. The black cable goes to the auxiliary connector. If you don’t have the wireless card, just tape both cables in the wireless slot area.

I have a A65 and the system board has died / fried.
I found the power plug solder needing to be resoldered
and the following IC’s toasted Q545 ( P39AD FDS 6675A )times 2 and a little 3 terminal IC marked DM .
my question is:
1. does anyone know what the DM IC mite be.
2. with the power plug solder loose and the above mentions IC’s cooked should I expect anything else on the board needing replacement.
I know this is getting a bit technical but where else can I turn.
Thanks

Hi;
I was hoping you could give me a bit of advice.
I was replacing the fan in my daughters Toshiba A65 S126 Satellite laptop. When attempting to disconnect the male
pin from the female pin that is connected to the circuit board, the female pin broke off the circuit board.
I tried soldering the fan directly to that point on the board but there isn’t enough contact material
remaining on the board to do so. Is there some place on the board that I can directly wire the fan into? I
don’t care if it runs at high speed whenever the laptop is on. Any ideas as to how to jerry rig this fan would
be very much appreciated.
Thanks Joe

Hi guys,
I have a problem with my satellite A65 and do not know how to fix it. When I power one, the red Toshiba sign on the start screen has black stripes running though it, then it goes into a black screen with the command prompt and stays frozen.
If I restart the computer and apply some pressure (with fingers) below the space bar (and to the right) the toshiba red sign is just fine and the computer loads fine. However as soon as I remove the pressure it freezes again. I opened up the computer and search for faulty connection/stuff not pushed all the way down. I tried cleaning up the inside and checked everything inside but it did not solve the problem.
Any innput would be greatly appreciated.

My A85 laptop drop down to the ground so the screen is black now.
Should I replace the back light or invertor?
Two bottom screws look like different with the top
screws. The top screw is Philips. What is the bottom screw and how can I remove it?
Thanks

Gan Chen,
Is the screen cracked? Can you see any image on the screen at all?
Test the laptop with an external monitor. If the external video output doesn’t work either, your problem is not related to the screen.
Check the memory module, try reconnecting it.

carlos chavalier,
Most likely they are wireless card antenna cables. You don’t have the wireless card installed and that’s why these cables are not connected to anything.
