Disassembly instructions for Toshiba Satellite L30 and L35 laptops

Toshiba Satellite L30 L35Disassembly instructions for Toshiba Satellite L35 laptop, should be similar to Toshiba Satellite L30.
I’ve created two different instructions for the display panel and the laptop base.
The first guide explains how to get inside the laptop display panel. You can use this guide for removing or replacing LCD screen and inverter. Steps for taking apart the display panel are pretty standard, you can use it for many other Toshiba laptops.
The second guide has step-by-step instructions for removing all internal parts inside the laptop base. It will help removing hard drive, keyboard, memory, DVD drive, motherboard, cooling fan, CPU and other major parts.

    Jay,

i have a Toshiba Satellite L35-S2151 and i have a power problem i dont get the power LED on if i plug in the AC in the wall even when i take the battery out.. i opend the laptop to check the adapter jack on the laptop and it looks fine i also check the wire connected to the motherboard it shows the is power coming till the motherboard dont understand whats the problem..

If the motherboard gets power but will not turn, it’s a problem with the motherboard. One thing to check will be the fuse which is usually located close to the power jack. If the fuse it good, there is not much you can do. I guess you’ll have to replace the motherboard.

    Neural,

When i try to turn on it, its green led, turn on for a few seconds then it turn off. Laptop looks like dead, it cannot turn on.
What do you think about this problem ?

First of all, check the power adapter. Make sure the adapter outputs the correct voltage. If the power adapter works fine, most likely you have a problem with the motherboard.

I need change motherboard or there is anything else i can do ?
In the first case how much it costs ? with shipping included for italy as shipping destination…

By the way, will it do the same when you unplug the power adapter and turn it on from the battery?

I have a Toshiba Satellite L35 and the screen just went dark the other day when I turned it on. It’s not completely black but I can barely see the desktop so I can’t do much on it right now. When I move the screen back and forth (up and down) sometimes it flickers to normal color but goes back to dark. In googling the symptoms, it appears to be the LCD inverter but I’m not sure. What is the best option for me now? Is it expensive to buy and replace the inverter? Or is it better to just get a new laptop? I’ve very tediously (since I can barely see the menus and cursor) been able to backup all my data onto dvds so in case this is irreversible/too expensive to fix, I’m not at a complete loss. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
