Colin,

I couldnt find removing and cleaning instructions for the Satellite A105 ?
I too have an A100, and after a couple of hours searching the internet, finaly found a replacement part, but alas, have not yet been able to find detailed instructions on the removal/instalation of the new fan…..
thank you for any help you can offer !

You didn't see Satellite A105 in Categories on the left side of this site???
Well, here's the disassembly guide again: http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-A105/remove-motherboard-1.htm
The guide has three pages. The fan removal shown on the step 20.

Here we go. I found service manual for Satellite 1800 series laptops. You'll find instructions for removing the processor in there.

Jacky,
This laptop has a tricky CPU socket, there is no screw to open/close the socket like on most other Toshiba laptops.
Here's how you can unlock the socket:
1. There is a lock-slider on the right site of the socket. Move it into unlocked position.
2. Insert a flat head screwdriver into the notch on the left side of the socket.
3. Rotate the screwdriver left to right. It will slide the locking mechanism into the open position.
Now you can lift up and replace the CPU.

Can not use guide to upgrade Toshiba 1805-S203 laptop CPU. The CPU socket is not shown in the picture, which has a open and closed side.

Can you show exactly how to take the CPU out for 1805-S203?

Thanks,
