Robert Marquardt,

I can’t seem to get past step 7 on the screen for the P10/15 motherboard removal. I thought maybe making a donation was the key, which I did, but I’m still stuck at #7

Thank you for the donation. It wasn't the key but thanks anyway. :)
I guess you are talking about this guide: http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/toshiba-satellite-p15/removing-motherboard-1.htm
There are THREE pages. Look for Page 1 :: Page 2 :: Page 3 links on the top and bottom and you'll get to the next step.
I guess you are stuck on the first page because you missed links to next pages.

Good luck!

freedomian,

I’m getting the following error message when I switch on

For realtek rtl8139(x)/8130/810x PCI Fast Ethernet Controller v2.13 (020326)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-m0F: Exiting PXE Rom

Will it boot Windows after the error message or the laptop just stay there?

How do I reset the BIOS on a P10-504?

I'm getting the following error message when I switch on

For realtek rtl8139(x)/8130/810x PCI Fast Ethernet Controller v2.13 (020326)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-m0F: Exiting PXE Rom

From all the research I've done it seems the BIOS may be corrupted so I need to reset it.

Is there anyway to do this apart from completely dissembling it and removing the BIOS battery?

By the way I've already replaced the hard disk with a brand new one.

Thanks very much in advance
